Owner Steve Egner has over 30 years experience. Steve started his career in Austin, Texas in 1978. He moved to Edmonds, Washington in 1986 and worked for a couple of different plumbing shops before starting Steve's Plumbing, LLC in 1995.

Steve holds a journeyman's license in both Washington and Texas and has an extensive knowlege of the plumbing industry, it's regulations and codes. If it is quality plumbing service you want, call us today.

Richard Saxton joined us in September 2009 after relocating to the Seattle area from Oklahoma. Richard has 17 years experience as a plumber and is licensed in three states. Richard is a huge fan of the New Orleans Saints, but we don't hold that against him.

In order to keep a high level of quality service, we send our technicians to a school in St Louis for professional training at least once a year. We never send our apprentices out alone, which makes us unique in this industry. We feel that if you are paying for a plumber, you deserve the knowledge and skill of a licensed plumber, so our apprentices always work under the guidance of a background checked and drug tested licensed plumber.

You can be sure that our plumbers and apprentices are the best of the best. We take extra time to make sure that the people we hire are a great fit both for our customers and for the Steve's Plumbing team. We won't even interview a technician if he is not a licensed plumber. Most companies in our area send unlicensed technicians to customer's homes. Please feel free to ask any of our plumbers to see their license, they'll be proud to show you.

Did you know that most of the plumbing companies in the Seattle area pay their plumbers/technicians on commission? Commission based compensation is perfectly acceptable, as long as you are aware of it. This could create a conflict of interest for some plumbers/electricians. Do you really need that expensive repair or is the plumber trying to achieve a bigger paycheck?

Steve pays all his plumbers a generous hourly wage and full benefit package. We want our customers to be sure that if our plumber is recommending a particular repair, it's because your home really does need it and not because that plumber is trying to make more money for himself.

What to expect
We know your time is valuable. We schedule appointments within a two hour window, and we will always call you to let you know the technician is on his way. That way, you don't have to leave work early and waste precious time waiting. Your technician will completely diagnose the problem you are having, discuss your options for repair or replacement and give you a Straight Forward Price™ before any work begins. We want to make sure all your questions are answered and you have made the best and most informed decision for your home and family. After receiving permission, the technician will complete the task and will leave your home as clean as when he started the work.
